Dec 12, 2017

For restaurants of all shapes and sizes, there is one thing they have as a common goal: to meet the expectations of a technology-savvy, mobile-engaged population and further enhance the quality of the guest experience.

According to research conducted for the 2017 Smart Decision Guide for Restaurant Management and POS Systems, 79% of restaurant operators indicated that advanced technologies will help them address many of their current challenges, and help drive increased guest satisfaction and operational performance.

At the forefront of these technologies are next-generation restaurant management and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Many of these POS software solutions have recently evolved by leaps and bounds in terms of functionality. Today there are some very compelling reasons to migrate from a traditional POS software to a next-generation system designed to meet an operator’s needs now and well into the future.

Nearly one-fourth (24%) of restaurant operators plan to update their POS software in the next 12 months. For them, and for new operators, the 2017 Smart Decision Guide offers a roadmap and insights for evaluating different solutions, along with practical guidance for selecting POS software that optimizes operations with functionality like mobility, performance even when Wi-Fi is intermittent, on-the-go reporting, predictive data for guest service personalization, plus more advancements combined with lower overall costs.
